Creation of Edge Gateway fails from vcloud director 8.0

When I am trying to deploy a edge gateway for a organization VDC, I am getting error message,

"Deployment of edge gateway test failed. com.vmware.vcloud.fabric.nsm.error.VsmException: VSM response error (1502): Failed to power on VM vse-test. No host is compatible with the virtual machine."

vCloud Director - 8.0 SP

ESXi - 6.0

NSX Manager - 6.2.1

I followed some links which say to sync the vCenter with vShield Manager and also vCloud director. But those did not help. When I am creating a edge from vsphere platform the same is getting created and getting powered ON. I am able to power ON VMs in vCloud Director environment.

Please let me know if there is some way to resolve this issue.

Thanks

Ratnajit

Hi, do you use VCDNI as the network pools?

If yes, this is known issue and you would need to upgrade to vCD 8.0.1 as per release notes

http://pubs.vmware.com/Release_Notes/en/vcd/801/rel_notes_vcloud_director_801.html

Attempts to create an Edge gateway on a system that includes a network isolation-backed network pool fail
When you attempt to create an Edge gateway on a system that includes a network isolation-backed network pool, the operation fails with the following error message.

No host is compatible with the virtual machine.

This issue is resolved in vCloud Director 8.0.1.
