Change of IP on NSX Edge + default route

Hello,

NSX-V 6.4.4.11197766 with two Edges in HA mode (active/standby). I need to change the IP address and corresponding VLAN on the Uplink interface.

Anything I should be worried about (any particular order)? Or it's just a matter of changing the IP and attaching it to a new distributed virtual port group?

Also, sorry for a stupid question, but I can't seem to find a way to modify the default route. I don't see any Routing tabs under the Edge window.

Thank you.

Are you using HTML UI ? Try logging via webclient and check and let me know.

Assuming this is NSX-V with vSphere platform, I would recommend below steps

1. Disable Edge HA

2. Change the IP and Portgroup of Edge

3. Confirm the connectivity is established with the Upstream router

4. Enable the HA and perform failover testing

For your query regarding the default route, you can use the Default Originate feature(ESG to advertise itself as a default gateway to its peers)

Thank you @Sreec

What I mean for the default route is that I can see that there is a static route configured for the uplink interface which I will have to adjust once the IP is changed:

NSXEDG01-0> show ip route static
S 0.0.0.0/0 [1/0] via 192.168.101.254

You can edit the default gateway IP

Hmm, I can't find these settings under ESXi 6.7.
