Hello.
After installing NSX Manager, is it necessary to set up Single Sign On (Lookup Service URL) when configuring vCenter in NSX Manager?
Everyone sets it when referring to the site where NSX Manager is installed. However, I do not need to set it in my environment, but it works.
What is required for setting Single Sign On?
SSO is used by NSX to authenticate users from other identity services such as AD, NIS, and LDAP ,that is how we secure the authentication. Based on the vCenter Server deployment you need to update the URL .
If it is Embedded PSC - Type VC FQDN/IP and update accordingly
External PSC - Type PSC FQDN/IP and update accordingly
PSC in HA mode - Type LB IP and update accordingly
Cross VC - Update the respective PSC FQDN/IP on each site - ensure that PSC are in same SSO domain.
NTP/DNS/IP reachabilitly and sync should be working flawlessly between NSX and PSC instances.
