Hello.
To restore the NSX Edge after restoring the settings to the new NSX Manager r Can you deploy by displaying the displayed NSX Edge?
Just by restoring the settings to the new NSX Manager, NSX Edge recognizes that the virtual appliance will not be deployed simply by being displayed in "Web and Sphere Client" Netwoking and Security "NSX Edge".
Hi,
If I'm understanding your question correct; you've restored a NSX Manager backup on a new NSX Manager appliance deployment and want to redeploy the NSX Edges from the backup configuration - because they are not deployed automatically when restoring a NSX Manager backup.
To redeploy the NSX Edges that you had in your previous environment, simply right click an Edge in the "NSX Edges" overview and choose either "Deploy" or "Redeploy" and the Edge will be deployed. Make sure you have the same computer/storage resources available though (same names), or update the Edge placement options in its settings first.
Hope that helps,

I understand that NSX Edge will not be deployed simply by restoring the configuration to NSX Manager.
There is one doubt.
Does "Redeploy" automatically deploy NSX Edge to its original location?
Or do you need to select host and storage manually?
It will deploy it in the same location as it previously was deployed. So if that datastore, cluster, portgroup no longer exists; make sure you update it in the configuration of the Edge before you redeploy.
Thank you
It is a good answer.
