Hello,
I configured two gateway as indicated in this article : VMware Knowledge Base
Now, i would like to choose the first gateway or the second one depend the server.
So, to do that, i configured a SNAT rule like this :
But it doen't work, i got internet access on the servers but i can't choose the gateway i want
So how to choose the right gateway for the right server?
Thanks for you help !
bertho
You can use 2 gateways, but they will be treated as ECMP. There is no control over which next-hop is used based on the source. They will both be used and traffic will be distributed on both.
Hello,
No one for an idea?
Bertho
Seems like you are trying to configure policy based routing, where you want to choose the next-hop address based on the source. This is not possible today. Using NAT does not do anything here.
Hello,
Ok, so is it not possible to use 2 uplink gateways?
Is there a way to do that?

ok, thank you for your quick reply
So, if i want to do that, the only way is to create one instance of NSX for BE and another one for FR...
Bertrand
What is BE and FR? If you want different sources to route out of NSX using different next-hops you need a separate Tier-0 gateway for each. Another way is to use vrf lite on NSX-T.
