VIO 7 add vcenter in new deplyment failed

Hi, I'm doing a vio testing in my home lab. for the deployment of vio manager everything went smoothly. but there are problem when creating a new deployment in the vcenter section, an error like this appears:

i have tested ping from vio-manager VM to vcenter FQDN& IP and the result OK

I ran into a similar issue, did you check that your vCenter is NOT in the service or POD IP range (default: 192.168.0.0/16 and 172.16.0.0/12)?

If so, you have to redeploy the manager appliance with another range.

Hi,

Please check DNS or use the IP of vCenter as we had issues with internal DNS names during our deployment.

i had the same issue. we decided to go with just IP address even dns looks good at that moment.

Yes I had that issue too even though DNS was set up and functioning. Just one of those things I guess!!  🙂
