VIO 5.1 configuration with NSX-T

hi,

i want test VIO for my project in university. i fallowed VMware documents but i dont have any information about design.

first i configure NSX-T with Edge cluster but i dont know how i must set ip for edge router port, is it need ip valid or not ? if it is my edge device how can transfer packet to Internet.

Second in Openstack I must configure External Network and again i dont know the ip address  and configuration for it. ( does it need subnet of valid IP ?? )

i want my VMs can connect to internet and have access from internet to VMs.

is this image true ???

if it is true , what can be IP Address and external subnet.

plz help me....

Hi,

of your questions it seems to me that there are some basic problems on how to set up the environment. There are some points you should explore before proceeding with a project. I don't answer your questions, but I'll pass you some links where you can go deeper into the topic. Obviously it's just a piece of advice and I don't want to offend anyone.

tnx For replay but you dont help me,

i read this documents but i cant understand it, I look for a real scenario with IP design to found that what happen in VIO and NSX for connection VM to Internet.

i Just need this IPs for simulate it for myself and recognize how VIO External Network works.

i Cant access to VIO Hand on Labs ,
