Instance failed to launch with Error "No valid host was found. There are not enough hosts available"

Hi,

While launching instance back to back, most of the instances get launched. For one of the instance, got below error and it failed to launch.

Instance has SRIOV network adapter.

Found below in nova-conductor.log

error.png

After that every instance failed to launch with this error. After cleaning up all existing instances, it starts launching again successfully.

checked with resource quota. Everything is under limit.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi Prashant,

I am also facing same error "No valid host was found. There are not enough hosts available". After clear the existing instance, able to spawn new one.

Have you found any resolution?

Thanks,

Siva.

We are using VDS based deployment and the network which we have created in VLAN based. Previously We were able to build VM on the same network.

This issue seems to be very much intermittent, we are able to build new VMs once we clean up the existing once.

Thank,

Sivaram
