We Installed 6 bran new Dell ESXI's GPU servers, our old cluster that we are currently using are Cisco GPU servers. I created a gold image on those new servers and it works great. But when I snapshot it and push it out to Horizon to build it crashes. And this is the error that I'm getting.
Publish Error: Fault type is AGENT_CUSTOMIZATION_FAULT - Internal template vm-1067811 [cp-template-03d6346f-5e65-4204-a963-c2ba6d5369cf] customization failed. Error description not set by agent.
So now I built an image from scratch on those DELL ESXI's and I have no software on the Gold image, Still did not work. Then I optimized the Gold Image and tried it again, still nothing.
I pulled over my Production Gold Image from the Cisco's to the Dell servers got everything working software run’s great on the new GPU servers, but it still brakes on the deployment within Horizon.
What am I missing or doing wrong?
vCenter version? 8.0.1
Horizon version? Version 2306
Connection server version? 8.10.0-21972440
Agent version? 8.10.0
I think there's many thing which can happen to get this fault.
But, in my case, I get it when appvolumes mounted during the provisionning process. Because we used OU to assign appvolumes.
And, cp-template and cp-replica are in fact added in the OU (with it-something names)
So, in appvolumes (and DEM) I put a filter on the real client clone names (all my clone begin "vm-")
That could be a million things but some things I would check check first:
