windows cannot be installed to this disk. the selected disk is of the gpt partition style

mac high sierra v10.13

Windows 10 pro

Chose "create VM", then the windows ISO file, then user name and password then started installation.

It automatically started windows setup with out asking me anything and hit with the below error with in 20 seconds and closing it cancels entire vm-windows installation setup.

"windows cannot be installed to this disk. the selected disk is of the gpt partition style"

It did not ask me anything about the partition.

Need help to fix this.

Try just drag/dropping the installer ISO into the wizard.

Could you verify this VM's firmware type? To do: open the VM setting view -> Advanced panel, then see Firmware type - It should be one of Legacy BIOS or UEFI. In your case, it should have been UEFI.
