vmnet setup question

Greetings,

I have two SBS2003 virtual machines connected via NAT- both are on the same subnet 172.16.163.0/24 and both can see the internet. However, neither can ping the other. Are they on different vmnets? If so, how do I set them to be the same so they can share resources?
