using a VM created on VMWare 6, Win

hello,

I am new to VMWare. I have a macbook and run Fusion. My co-worker runs Windows XP and has creared a guest OS in his "VM Workstation" v6.

He gave me access to the guest OS files (5 files, which ive copied to my mac). I would like to host the guest OS on my machine now.

How do i do this? do i need to convert it to a package, or something else...?

thanks!

matt

Just copy it over and tell Fusion to open the .vmx file.

You can convert it to a bundle by adding the ".vmwarevm" extension to the folder containing the virtual machine files (I'm assuming you have a folder for just the five files you were given), but this step is not necessary.
