update to Fusion 8

Hi,

I just bought Fusion 7 two days ago. How can I upgrade free to Fusion 8? I downloaded the trial version, but it asks me for a valid Fusion 8 License, and the one I have doesn't work.

Thanks

VMWare support told me "within 2 days". I just purchased yesterday, asked the same question on Twitter.

You will need to go through VMware's website to upgrade your license key to support version 8.x.  As the earlier poster suggested, it may take a couple of days for their system to be ready.

Hi there :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

You'll get an email once the batch systems process all the eligible upgrades.  It typically takes a day or two to get through them all.

The email will have you go into MyVMware and there will be a place to 'upgrade' your existing key.  It effectively destroys the current key and provides you with a new one that you can put into Fusion.
