unable to install windows 2008 in fusion 4 Lion

I am trying to setup Windows 2008 Server in Fusion 4/Lion, but when I get to the actiavtion screen the installer hangs, then eventually fails. All I get is an error that says "Windows installation has encountered and error and needs to be restarted". If I type in an incorrect activation code, installer fails quickly and tells me that my activation code is incorrect. I have tried both x32 and x64 bit version of Windows 2008. I am trying to use a disc image as installer media, which I just downloaded from technet.

Just wondering if others are able to install win2k8 in fusion 4 on Lion 10.7.1 host? If so, what are some other things to check?

To follow up my own post, I was using a win2k8 sp2 disk image, which vmware 3 and 4 (and vbox 4) did not like. Didn't matter if it was 32 or 64 bit versions of Windows 2008.

I used a disk image of Windows 2008 R2, and that was successful on vmware3 and 4 and vbox 4.

I am in the process of downloading the non sp2 version of win2k8 to see if that will properly install...
