remove windows programs from my ios spotlight search

I have 2 windows vm’s running on my macbook in vmware fusion pro 8.5.10

My problem is when I do a spotlight search in ios and I type “excel” I get 3 apps, 1 from my macbook and 1 from each of my vm’s. I don’t want either of my vm’s applications to show up in my spotlight search. I am running high sierra.

I looked in finder under applications and I don't see any of the windows applications there. And I looked through my fusion settings and couldn't find one that helped. I have shared folders enabled because I want to keep file sharing on to be able to copy files to and from the vm easily.

Hi,

Open VM settings, enter Default Applications, see whether 'Run Windows application from Mac's Application folder' is checked. if so, uncheck it and click 'Clean Up Application'.Those Windows applications will be away from spotlight search

'Run Windows application from Mac's Application folder' is not checked for either of my vm's. I hit "hit clean up applications" just for fun, to see if it helped. It didn't.
