Every time that I start Windows XP Pro SP3 on a Fusion VM, I get the following error message:
16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem (blue border header)
C:\windows\system\mpnotify.exe
The MTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
C5:0556 IP:4c57 CP:8c f0 77 ff 16 Choose 'Close' to terminate the application
I click 'Close' and the startup proceeds. All functions that I expect and use are in place and Fusion/windows seems to be working fine. I am checking here just to make sure that something serious is not amiss. This may have occurred before 3.1. I am not sure,
By the way, if any VMware techs look at this, I tried to upload images of the error message. Both PNG(1.6 MB) and TIF(33KB) were rejected by the upload process.
