installation of vmware tools on fusion pro not successful

I tried to update vmware tools on fusion pro 10.2.

during installation or repair process the installation / de installation or repair fails on VSS driver.

can somebody help me out?

Hi,

there is no specific error message. The only issue is, that the de-registration of the VSS-drivers is not successful and therefore the process is on hold and cannot be pushed. so you have to cancel the process-id in the windows task manager and then the installation/deinstallation is corrupted.

I have no idea why de-registration of VSS driver fails. we need more info to debug this issue. can you please get and upload these files when tools installed fails:

1. %temp%/vminst.log

2. %temp%/vmmsi.log

3. C:\windows\temp\vminst.log
