Hello all, I may be trying to do the impossible, but nevertheless.
I'm running VMware Fusion on my Mac in order to use ArcGIS, and I don't have enough internal HD space for the projects.
I have an external HD that I have partitioned into 2 APFS (time machine & storage) and 1 ExFAT.
I'd like to be able to independently mount the APFS and ExFAT partitions on the host and the virtual machine respectively so that I can stop mounting and unmounting the entire drive every time I want to use ArcGIS.
The only way I've found to make it work is to 'share' the drive, but this makes the file access way to slow for my purposes.
I've tried to search for solutions with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks
Mac OS 10.15.5
VMware Fusion 11.5.0
It's either the whole device, or the shared folders. No other options i'm afraid.
