I just ran into a problem where I could not view the shared folders from a Linux Guest (UBuntu).
I determined that the problem was a permissions issue. The owner of the file in the Mac environment had R/W permissions but Everyone had no permissions. Is there a way to specify the user that should be used by HGFS when mounting the shared folders? How do I fix this without making all the shared folders R/W for everyone?
