got a weird thing going on with host <-> guest networking. guest is debian wheezy (proxmox). iperf shows 2.95 Gbits/sec, which should mean 295MB/sec. yet http (python3 -m http.server) and scp only give, at most, 9MB/sec megs / second, and most of the time less than 1. the file transfered was 9gigs, the output of packer run on windows server. http was not encrypted. any idea how to figure out and fix whats going on?
