I have tried a clean install, I have booted into snow leopard 64 bit kernel, I have tried 32 bit kernal, i have also tried to do an upgrade from version 2 to version 3.
I have a new MBP, and fusion is only running in 32 bit, why is this?
see profiler details...
VMware Fusion:
Version: 3.0.0
Last Modified: 09-10-23 8:21 PM
Kind: Intel
64-Bit (Intel): No
Location: /Applications/VMware Fusion.app
The UI handles the settings and the like, it is not processor intensive. The VMware engine, vmware-vmx when you show all processes, is 64-bit native and it does all the heavy lifting and graphics rendering. In fact, we are running in 64-bit mode on all 64-bit Macs regardless of the kernel chosen.
