copy files from Mac to ESXi

Hi Everyone,

I have Fusion 7 Pro installed on Macbook pro machine. After converting a pre-existing VM to OVA (Using export to OVF tool) format, I wanted to transfer over to ESXi (Esxi installed on Mac Pro) datastore but not sure how to do that?

I can connect to my ESXi host using Fusion (connect to server) but I am unable to browse datastores. I tried drag and drop but that does not seem to work either. Am I missing any setting which will enable the drag and drop option? Is there any other way to copy my Fusion VMs to ESXi host?

Thanks,

As far as I know, Fusion 7 Pro does support uploading / downloading VM to ESXi directly.

You basically have to  connect to the esxi server first. Then right click on the desired existing Fusion VM ( from VM library ) and choose Upload .
