capslock->control mapping breaks in Fusion 1.1 beta 1

I have my caps lock key set to be a control key in Keyboard & Mouse Preferences' "Modifier Keys" setting pane. When starting the Fusion 1.1 beta (running an Ubuntu Linux guest) the caps lock reverts to being a plain old caps lock key. I have to then go back to the K&M preferences to fix it - kind of a hassle. Is this a known issue?

ah, so it's VMware that keep re-enabling my disabled caps lock. and here i thought i was going insane!
