caps lock backwards in XP

Can anyone help with this? The caps lock is working backwards in XP under Fusion 1.1.1. When the light is off I get lower case characters on Mac but UPPER CASE in XP. If I select caps lock (light on) then the Mac side properly echos upper case but XP now displays lower case.

When you started the virtual machine, was caps lock on? If so, it might work better if it wasn't.
