Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a search but couldn't find anything relavent.
This is a pretty simple question that hopefully has a simple answer:
Is there a way to automatically logout of a profile when shutting down a guest VM?
Thanks!
If you're referring to the active User Account on the Host, VMware Fusion does not have such a feature and implementing any workaround would probably not be trivial.
Thanks, and yes that's what I was referring to. I'm wondering if there is a script that can be run on the guest (shared from the host) that would send a guest shutdown then host logout command.
You could ssh from Guest to Host and run then a Script that uses vmrun to shutdown/suspend the Virtual Machine then close VMware Fusion and log out.
If this was Windows to Windows it's easy to script using PsExec via a Network Connection, I used it often in the past, however haven't had a need on the Mac so if there is a single executable for OS X usable directly via the Network I haven't seen it and why i use ssh.
