Yosemite VMWare Fusion v6.05 SLOW

Is it normal to use so much CPU?

Turned off 3D graphics

vmware-vmx is constantly using 100% CPU

Attached is screenshot of OS X Activity Monitor

It seems that the Windows applications are running slower, slower to launch, to save, to quit.

Have you installed the OS X 10.10.1 update?  We've had some reports that it's causing a slowdown of Fusion on systems that worked fine with OS X 10.10.0.  We haven't yet gotten to the bottom of that problem.

Are you using a mid-2011 iMac?  We've had many reports of problems with Yosemite itself on those specific iMac systems (but not all of them), and we're waiting for Apple to fix the underlying problem.
