With Fusion 5 I get message "Login failed due to bad user name or password" Help please.

I see other people have had this problem but I have never been able to locate an answer in these forums.  Help appreciated.

Hi

I installed Fusion 5 on my Mac and PC and connected them via Ethernet. My Mac asked for the username and password from the PC and when I entered them I got the error message. I tried changing the username and password and also tried using no password. Restarted the PC. Nothing helped. Any help appreciated.

Have a look at Best practices for using and troubleshooting Migration Assistant (1017993) and if you can't get it working then you're other option is to try using VMware vCenter Converter Standalone and set the destination to an external FireWire/USB Driver vs over the Network and then copy the Virtual Machine onto the Mac.
