Windows takes over when I load a CD

I have Fusion 2.0.2 loaded in unity view on my Mac. When I put in a blank CD the desktop icon does not appear on the OS X desktop. Eventually realised it was Windows that was detecting the loading of the CD and when I switched to full view mode I could see the Windows prompt. My quick fix was to suspend Windows but is there a setting or something I can choose which means I don't have to do that when I want to load a CD?

TIA

While running Fusion, go to VIrtual Machine > CD/DVD > Disconnect CD/DVD. This will disable use of the Disk drive within your virtual machine and allow OSX to use the disk drive once again. Do the same steps to connect the CD/DVD drive back to the virtual machine.
