I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit in VMware Fusion version 3.13 on a Mac OSx Lion with 8GB RAM (4GB for Win) and a 1TB drive.
Windows was running out of drive space, so in VMware's menu: Virtual Machine --> Hard Disk --> Hard Disk Settings... I used the slider to go from 40GB to 60GB.
I then shut down Windows and VMware, but after restarting Windows, it doesn't recognize the extra 20GB. Is there something else that needs to be done - such as a Windows partition utility?
Yes, inside the guest you need to run the Disk Management to initialize/expand/format the partition.
Right-Click on My Computer --> Manage. Select Disk Management.

Simple enough!
Thanks for the quick reply!
