I am running Mac OSX 10.5.8 with Fusion 2.05. Guest is Windows XP Professional with all latest updates installed
I have been using Fusion since about April 2008 with this guest OS with no problems. Problems only started after upgrading to Fusion 2.0.5 recently.
Guest and guest applications run fine after booting the Guest OS. I often minimise the VM as an icon to the Mac toolbar, but don't suspend or shut down the guest (it was previously possible to leave them like this for days and they were always instantly available and worked). Now when bringing the VM back from icon to window the guest application will hang (egg-timer symbol). There is no CPU load (Task manager shows 0%). Sometimes the network icon in the Windows toolbar shows the yellow ball bouncing between two PC's (I think this means it has lost its IP address and is requesting a new one from a DHCP server). The VM is in Bridged N/W mode. The only solution seems to be to 'hard reset' - I have had to do this by powering off the whole Mac, but I learned a few minutes ago that there is a couple of power down/reset options if you hit the alt key in the Fusion>VMSettings menu, so I'll try that next time.
I am sure this is relatively easy to fix, I just don't know enoiugh about Fusion. However it's really frustrating and pretty soom I shall junk Fusion if I cannot fix it.
Thanks.
