Windows 9x video driver in Beta 4

Once the updated VMTools are installed, I can't get the video driver to work. Machine just crashes on start up - I followed the instructions that pop up several times to no avail.

Strangely if I leave the Beta 3 video driver installed, it works fine.

Any ideas ?

Which guest (95, 98, 98SE, etc.) is this? When does the crash happen - before/after BIOS POST, before a Windows splash screen, etc.? Anything in vmware.log or vmware-vmfusion.log?

It happens just after splash screen, the window to resizes to it's running size from the splash screen size and I just get a garbled mess in the window.

It's Windows ME BTW

Can't find anything obvious in the log file....lots of :

Weird. The 9x video driver didn't change between beta 3 and beta 4 (or for a long time before that, either).

"Unknown int 10h func 0x0000" is nothing to worry about.

Not a biggy, I can always reinstall. I only need ME for one app anyway. I mainly use XP.
