Hi,
I have a very annoying problem on my new Mountain Lion running latest VMware Fusion with Windows 8 (64bit) guest. Everytime I shutdown (or reboot) Windows it gets stuck at the blue screen with the animated shutdown/restart image. The animation gets stuck. After a very long timeout (1-3 minutes) the VM then reboots into Windows and after login Windows reports a crash that it wants to report to Microsoft.
I tried already the settings recommended here:
VMware fusion's Windows 7 takes long time to shut down (sometimes hang) - Ask Different
No luck so far. There is no clean shutdown or reboot of the Windows guest. It's a fresh installation btw.
