Windows 7 RC1

I have installed Windows XP Home successfully through Fusion 2.05 on my iMac. When I tried to do an upgrade to Windows 7 RC1 - not possible, so I tried to do a full install and the error message I got related to some form of missing drivers within Fusion.

The Fusion manual makes no reference to W7 as being compatible but I assumed that as a follow on to XP and Vista there would have been no real issues. Am I wrong? Do i have to wait for an update to Fusion 2?

Any advice gratefully received.

Not a VMWare issue. You cannot upgrade XP to Win 7, only Vista (per MS). You'll have to do a clean install. I had no luck with a manual install. Create a new VM, and use the EZ Install option instead.

Frankly, I wouldn't ever upgrade a microsoft OS anyway - causes no end of headaches. I'd also avoid RC1, since I believe that you can't upgrade that to the RTM version either, and will be stuck with a dead VM when it times out.
