Win 10 Iso has to be on computer to run installed VM?

Installed Windows 10 tech preview build 9926.  Deleted iso file after install completed.  Now the VM will not run, saying the iso file is not available in the folder it was in when VM created.  Never had this happen with another Window VMs I am running.  Can still run Win 8, Win 8.1, Win 7, and XP VMs without the original iso being available. What am I missing?

What happens if you turn off the CD/DVD in the Virtual Machine's Settings, will it boot to the Windows Desktop?

Totally confused now.  Went to see if WoodyZ suggestion works, so deleted the iso file, VM starts up correctly from suspended, or from fully shutdown.  I had copied the VM from a BU disk just before problem occurred.  Will have to try and recreate "problem".  Thanks for thinking about it.
