Will Fusion 8 work with late 2009 imac and os high sierra

I am currently running os mavericks with fusion 4.1.4 and it works.

But upgrading my late 2009 iMac I7 to OS High Sierra works fine only the new Fusion 10 isn't working on this configuration.

i tried it and it didn't work.

my question:

Does somebody use fusion 8 in combination with high sierra and does it work?

Hi,

There have been reports of people who got it to work, but ...

Unfortunately Fusion 8 is not supported on High Sierra, only Fusion 10 is.

The problem with HS is getting it to work on the part of the kernel extensions that have to be approved.

It's an often reported problem with Fusion 10, on Fusion 8 that is likely worse.

If you want to try it, then at least make sure to get the very latest Fusion 8 release (currently Fusion 8.5.10, here's direct download link Download VMware Fusion 8 )

Hope this helps,
