Hi everyone,
I just purchased Fusion 10 but didn't realize that the requirements were for a mid-2011 or newer iMac. Mine is a mid-2010 with a 2,93 Ghz i7 processor and 32 GB RAM.. I would think that there is enough horsepower to run the current version. Would anyone know if I can actually install and run this version or if the hardware requirement is "cast in stone"?
The mid-2010 2.93 GHz i7 CPU is a Lynnfield i7-870 CPU. As it is a Lynnfield CPU (part of Nehalem generation), it will not be able to run Fusion 10.

The hardware requirement is more of "cast in silicon", as it is the silicon circuitry inside the CPU package that determines the feature of the CPU required.

Thanks for such a quick reply... I guess I will have to try to get my money back as I am not going to be able to use the product
