Which 64 bit OS is best on a 2011 MacBook Pro: Win XP Pro or Windows 7

Which 64 bit operating system would work best (fastest, most compatible, overall performance, etc.) using VMware Fusion 3: Windows XP Pro or Windows 7? I searched the internet for a performance comparison between both OS using VMware Fusion with little success.

I have a 2011 MacBook Pro with 8gb RAM, a 128GB SSD @ 6 gb/second, and  OS X 10.6.8. I do not plan to upgrade to Lion anytime soon. I just  purchased VMware Fusion (not installed yet) and plan to use it so I can  run NinjaTrader on my MacBook Pro. I am looking for maximum performance and reliability.

I just  purchased VMware Fusion (not installed yet) and plan to use it so I can  run NinjaTrader on my MacBook Pro.

You should have first download VMware Fusion and applied for the free 30 day trial to make sure it can do what you want it to before purchasing it.

Also you should check with Apple as I do not believe Windows XP is supported on the Boot Camp partition on the 2011 Mac's.
