Where is config file?

I need to an an HID device that is not recognized by the VM (it is a pen tablet for chinese input). I believe the way to do this is either usb.generic.allowHID = "TRUE" or usb.quirks.device0 = vid:pid; however, I cannot find the config file on my mac.

I have looked in ~\Library\Preferences\VM Fusion\ but the only thing there is "preferences", can someone enlighten me as to where I to find this elusive file? I have tried to Spotlight config or .vmx but nothing shows up.

Well best place would be in the vmx file. Find your guest file in Finder and show package contents. The vmx file is then exposed. The config file is in /Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion.

To expand on DaveP's answer, you can locate the virtual machine by hovering over the entry in the Library window. The default location is ~/Documents/Virtual Machines/. You will then have to ctrl-click it in the Finder and select Show Package Contents.
