Vmare update failed to work iMac Big Sur 11.01

Hi  the current version of my imac is:

will this Version of os run with VM Ware Fusion pro version 11.0

I Suspect it does not because I am getting the following error

If this is the case what is the solution

Kind regards

Only Fusion 12 is supported on a Mac host running Big Sur.

Thanks Scottt28tt

I purchased my Vmware Fusion v 11. a couple years ago would get a discount on an upgrade path.

How long will V12 will be supported for on this OS ?

Will my old IMAGED data files run on V12

Thanks for quick response.

There is now a Player version of Fusion as well as the Pro version (which was the only version previously) - click the Compare heading here for details between them: https://www.vmware.com/products/fusion.html

If the Player version is sufficient in terms of functionality, and you are using non-commercially, you wouldn't need to buy an upgrade. If you need the Pro version then you would need to buy an upgrade.

Here's the actual software upgrade process: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/81666

Moderator: Moved to Fusion Discussions - I only just noticed you created the thread in the AppDefense area.

Hey, i have a Fusion 11 license and I think V12 player version is sufficient to me. It's just for personal usage. How can I get the upgrade for free? thanks
