Vista 32 or 64? Which will be faster?

I tried installing my Windows XP, but I guess the disk was corrupt or something. I'm trying to install my Vista. It's asking which I would prefer, 32bit or 64. I'm not going to be playing games or anything on my Windows installation, I'm just using it for Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office.

I want to use the one that will take up the least amount of resources and stuff.

If you're looking for minimal resource usage, Vista is not the best option... Use XP or Windows 7.

Regarding 64bit, you won't notice a difference at all unless you're doing stuff which makes use of more than 4GB of ram (which is unlikely given what you've said you'll be using Windows for).

Ah. Yeah, I would use either of those if I had working copies

I installed Vista 64. I was wondering, how do you install things on the virtual machine? I used IE to try and download Firefox, but it's like it doesn't download or something. I can't find it anywhere. I also can't access the Internet Options under Tools. When I click it, nothing happens; that's what happens when I try to Save something when I download it.

Did you install VMware Tools in your guest (to enable networking, and well, all the other wonderful things VM's can do...)

From the Menu Bar > Virtual Machine > Install VMware Tools
