I have created a .vmdk using Workstation 9.0.1. I would like to install Fusion on a MAC and import this image over for training purposes. Are there any potential issues that I should know about?
The CPU change may trigger windows activation, but the VM will work fine. Just make sure you shut down (not suspend) the VM, remove any snapshots, and move it over on a drive that allows read/write (FAT32 is the best, exFAT is an alternative)
Any host-specific device names and path/file names will need to be reviewed and changed (e.g. serial COM port settings, or absolute path for vmdk file).
