Hi,
My VMware Fusion crashes immediately after switching into Unity mode and tells me that the virtual machine is damaged and wants me to put it into the trash.
The VM is a Win 10 and is still working after forcing quit of Fusion.
VMware tools is 11.1.5.
I copied the VM from an Fusion 11 installation.
macOS Big Sur 11.1
Any idea what to do?
How did you copy it over, and was it shut down completely when you did so? It may have been corrupted if it was on dissimilar hardware and was running (or if you used time machine).
I just copied it from a MacBook Pro with Fusion 11 to an iMac with Fusion 12.
When starting the VM, Fusion asked me whether the VM was copied or moved. Klicked moved and updated the VMware Tools.
Just tried to uninstall the VMware Tools, reboot, and reinstall the tools, but the VM keeps crashing.
Sounds like it may have been corrupt during them move, might be worth bringing over a fresh copy. Just make sure that it's shut down (not suspended), and any snapshots have been committed/deleted before you move it.
