VMware Fusion 10 forces itself into $PATH

Hi,

I'm not that impressed that upon startup VMware Fusion Pro 10 forces itself to make an entry in: "/etc/paths.d" with: "com.vmware.fusion.public", which has the following content in it: "/Applications/VMware Fusion.app/Contents/Public", so now my "echo $PATH" has been modified not to my liking. I can manually remove your entry in "/etc/paths.d", but it gets forced back in upon startup of VMware Fusion every time. I guess you want to make it easy for users to execute commands such as: "vmrun ...". However, its far from ideal that you are forcing a permanent change of a users PATH entry, which could lead to false-positives, which is what I experienced. TBH, this behaviour feels a bit like a virus...better VMware tutorials and documentation is the correct solution here.

Thoughts?

Mike

mine is "/Applications/VMware Fusion.app/Contents/Public/" which is  erroneous  with the trailing "/".
