Is it possible to send key in a .vmx file and if yes what would be the syntax ?
Basically I want to send "command + g" when the VM starts.
No, not in Fusion and not in the VMX file, but in vSphere starting with 6.5 there is an API that can be used to send keystrokes as illustrated in William's article.
So annoying, basically until I press a key or click my mouse then I have 2 mouse pointers in the VM.
Support are unable to resolve because if you take a screenshot then it only shows 1 mouse pointer. But there is 2 there.
But that's only for like 1 second before you start to interact with the VM. Why is this a big deal?
Because it doesn't do it on Windows 10 or if using Parallels.
I am using Windows 7 Professional.
Is it a known issue ?
What exactly is your use case? What are you trying to accomplish here?
To only have 1 mouse pointer automatically, its the 21st century, not the 1980s.
But you have only one as soon as you click inside the guest to begin to control the VM, so what's the problem here? What are you trying to solve?
