VMWare Fusion crashes my Mac Pro

I've discovered that hitting the "Suspend" button on my FreeBSD virtual machine reliably crashes my Mac Pro. I'm running a 2 x 3 GHz Dual-Core Xeon Mac Pro with 4GB of memory, OS version 10.4.9 up to the latest patches. Fusion is v. 1.0b3 (43733).

The symptoms are that the progress bar for saving the state of virtual memory gets about 2/3 of the way along, then flickers and disappears. The Fusion application goes into spinning-beach-ball mode for about ten seconds, then the Mac panics.

I'm going to avoid doing that again, I think.

P.S. The crash fatally corrupted the VM file. It's garbage now.

Please post the contents of panic.log. I think there have been similar reports before, and having the panic.log will help verify if this is the case.
