VMWare Fusion Virtual Server client

Hi,

I've virtualised a physical server and single client (server 2008r2 and win 7) and I need these to act like they are on the same physical network, as I am testing some WDS deployments. I therefore need the WIn 7 VM to get its IP from the servers DHCP. At the moment I can't seem to achieve this, the instructions I found for this are for VMware Workstatsion which I can't run as I'm doing all this on a mac.

Any suggestions please? Smiley Happy

Thanks in advance,

Ken

Hi,

Are you using Fusion or Fusion Pro?

If on Fusion Pro then you have a network editor (menu -> preferences -> last tab) and can add a new network, do not provide DHCP to the new network.

Put both VMs in the new network.

If you are on the non pro version, then put both VMs in the host only (Private to my Mac) network.
