VMWare Fusion 8.
E.g. with guest OS Ubuntu 14.04 or 14.10, but probably also happens with Windows 7/8.
Dragging the mouse to the edge of the screen causes the cursor to "jump back" away from the edge of the screen. This makes it very difficult to drag things (e,g. windows) to the edge of the screen which ruins a typical workflow.
To reproduce:
Click and drag on the desktop to start drawing a box. Drag the box to the edge of the screen and drag it along the edge.
Expected result:
Box is drawn along the edge of the screen and follows the cursor.
Actual result:
Box jumps towards the centre of the screen and no longer follows the cursor. Every few seconds it jumps towards the cursor again, but it still stays away from the edge of the screen.
Hi,
Could you please provide us the configure of your host? I mean Mac 10.9 or 10.10? MacBook Pro or iMac or Mini? Retina or not? The more detailed, the better.
And could you please make a screen recording of your issue?
Thanks a lot~
OS X Yosemite 10.10.2.
MacBook Pro Retina 13 inch Mid 2014.
16GB RAM.
Here is a recording of the defect:
Hi. Are you able to reproduce this issue using the video?
Thanks.
Are there any updates from anyone on this?
Does this happens even when you are in full screen.
-Try going to full screen and check if its happening..
Cheers..
Yes this happens in full screen and windowed mode.
This issue remains in VMWare Fusion 8.
Is there any update about this now that yet another version has the same bug?
Can others reproduce this OK?
Did you try to re-install vmware tools and see if this could resolve your problem?
Hi,
This does not solve the issue. Can you not reproduce it?
