VMTools 11.2 and Fusion 12.1

Today I followed Wim's tip and installed VMTools 11.2 on my Big Sur VMs, and indeed they have Metal 3D.  (Tried it on my Catalina VMs too and not workie.)  I am generally curious about VMTools 11.2 as a general upgrade as Fusion 12.1 loads VMTools 11.1.5.  What if any benefits would I get on my Windows VMs if I loaded VMTools 11.2 on those in Fusion 12.1?
