VM doesn't recognise flash drive

After rebooting all is well.

However, after running for a short time and not using the VM when I go back to the VM and try to back something up to a flash drive the VM program no longer asks me to which OS it should connect the drive. Instead it always connects the drive to the Mac.

I can work around this but this feature used to always work.

With the USB flash drive connected

Try this:

Go to the Settings of the VM in the Fusion menu.

Select USB and Bluetooth

You can select the "Plug In Action" to "Ask what to do".

Hi retoldguy,

Was your VM ever suspended when you go back to it? If yes, it is the correct behaviour, all the connected USB devices will be disconnected from VM when the VM is suspended or powered off.
