VM Status Shows 'Unknown (Off)' from Fusion Menu App

Hello,

When I view my Windows 10 VM from the Fusion menu app, it shows the status is 'Unknown (Off)'. However, I know that the VM is on, because I am using it. Here is a screenshot showing what I mean.

This is not causing any problems, but it would be nice to get it to show the correct status. Thank you!

If the VM is encrypted, the status will be Unknown(Off) in Applications Menu even if it is powered on.

If not, you can try to restart Applications Menu as below:

Option A: Without relaunch Fusion

Step1: Select menu VMware Fusion -> Preferences...

Step2: Select "Never" for "Applications menu: Show in menu bar:" to quit Applications Menu

Step3: Select "Only when Fusion is running" to relaunch it again.

Option B:

Make sure "Only when Fusion is running" selected, quit Fusion then relaunch it.

Yes, the VM is encrypted. So, that must be what the problem is. Thank you for your help!

Is there a way to relaunch the Fusion Menu App icon in the menu bar from the command line?
